Outfit for polo?

What do people wear to polo matches? I'm going to an international match this weekend at Cowdray.

Will it be smart or casual please?

Hate being overdressed

Google image search on the event - it appears to be a dress and heels/blazer and trousers affair. I may depend on what sort of tickets you have like the races. I'd say jeans were a no but other than that up to you.

Depends if you are going to hospitality or not - if just turning up, then a soft blazer and white/coloured jeans (or just about anything from Joules) will be fine. If hospitality its dress and wedges

Flat shoes or wedges are an absolute must.

Don't wear proper heels whatever you do!

Good point. Ok sandal wedges, blue cords (they are all I've got!), white posh tee shirt, thin scarf. God I wish I could fit into more stuff. Do I have time to shop I wonder...?

I went to the polo as a student and was stamping divots with the Queen wearing a godawful lycra skirt and cheap vest, drinking tesco lager as we were so skint. Should have been arrested.

…So basically, rest easy. Dress neat but casual if you like….then you'll look like you do that sort of thing all the time.
