can you recommend bras for 30f chest??

I just realised on mumsnet my size should be 30f and not the 34c I have been wearing, that explains a lot! Can you please advise on where to buy some nice bras in this sizing? Thanks

I was measured at Bravissimo and am also a 30f. I must have tried every nude bra they had and ended up with a Panache "meh" (can't recall the real name). It is super dull and shapeless, but it fits and I guess that's what counts!

I may go again to try something else, something with a bit more "oomph"

mrsbug · 13/05/2014 21:44

Thanks statistically, I will try a Cleo bra next time I am in town

SuperFlyHigh · 13/05/2014 21:44

bravissimo too and half cup or balconette style.

Debenhams can be ok a bit hit and miss depending on who fits you. Freya Deco very good.

see this blog for ideas www.investinyourchest.com

BearPear sadly the range of nude bras actually isn't great and the risk of ending up with a "panache meh" is pretty high!

If panache work for you, you might like Ewa Michalak who also have quite narrow wires and a few nude-ish bras. Their uplift is stonking!

TheMightyMing · 13/05/2014 22:22

30e here- Freya Rio - I wear all the time, I must have about 30. I buy at Debenhams when they have the new season offers on. Dull but great fit and v comfy.

evelynj · 13/05/2014 22:30

Ooh, I need stonking uplift-sadly mine have no uplift & normally a freya girl the last couple I've ordered online just make them go sideways. I've got a tango classic which has great shape but digs in-May need to size up. Any other stonking uplift freya, panache or fantasie recs?

Does narrow wires mean more of a U shape than a semi circle sort of wide u shape?

OP, I'd highly recommend going to a bravissimo without kids if you can manage-It's a pain for me too but ordering online is lately disappointing-or do a big order of 10 from somewhere & then it's less hassle to retune a lot!

Cheers for the thread & info ;)

StatisticallyChallenged · 13/05/2014 22:39

Freya make me go sideways too - it's because the wires are wider than my natural breast root so they push them apart - yes more semi circular. Panache suit me better width wise, but standard panache bras also have very long wires. I'm quite high breasted, so the end of the wires stab me in the armpit!

Cleo are made by panache and still narrow, but not as long wired. They're also younger and IME give very good uplift, even their non-padded ones (Marcie, Millie, Minnie, Lily, Meg etc) Ewa Michalak and Comexim are polish brands with narrowish wires and amazing lift. There are a few of the Bravissimo own brand bras I really like too - Satine is a good plunge, and Alana gives a very uplifted but slightly retro/pointed shape which looks great under certain outfits.

evelynj · 13/05/2014 22:55

Thanks so much-will go & have a look & yes the panache was soo high it was in my armpit!

Any advice on a nude model to order? Would a lightly padded Cleo work? There a bargain Darcey in my size....

That's really helpful thanks:)

Lioninthesun · 13/05/2014 23:04

Second Bravissimo and Debenhams. Went up to an H cup when pg Shock and both were amazing.

StatisticallyChallenged · 14/05/2014 07:58

The Cleo juna is very popular. I think the darcy is the same cut

goodasitgets · 14/05/2014 10:38

For amazing uplift and low armpit wires I go with ewa michalak
Seriously I thought panache gave me a good shape, I put on a ewa bra and they look like orbs Grin

SaveTheMockingBird · 14/05/2014 10:42

Panache Tango for me too. I'm a 28F. I buy them off amazon for half the price.

JohnCusacksWife · 14/05/2014 10:43

Panache Tango Balconette. Worth keeping an eye on ebay as they often come up there for half the price of Barvissimo (new...I hasten to add!!)

TheresLotsOfFarmyardAnimals · 14/05/2014 10:45

I like the cleo juna and panache idina

yazzy85 · 14/05/2014 12:08

So I'm realising I should have ordered the balconette style. HAny advice on fitting of Cleo Lucy? Panache Melody? Panache Harmony? Cleo Marcie?

My Classic Tango Plunge bra arrived today, the band is great, cups fit well too but the straps are way too wide apart and dig into the side of my underarm...is this a problem with the style or size??

OP posts:
evelynj · 14/05/2014 16:05

Thanks-I've ordered the cleo Darcey & will check it for size before ordering the tango balconette one-have gone for 36 band as I'm 35 at the minute & OP- the 34 in the panache harmony was too snug on me & wires dug in after a few hours (but comfy at first & for a couple of hours & will still take it on hols for evening dressing as amazing shape!)

RaisingSteam · 14/05/2014 18:54

The Freya Rio bra is fabulous - TheMightyMing I thought it was discontinued though. The Gem is meant to be the same cut but it has fussy lacy straps and stuff.

RaisingSteam · 14/05/2014 18:56

Ah, looks like the nude version of the Freya Rio has disappeared Sad but it's in black white and red. OP I would recommend that one too.

BearPear · 14/05/2014 18:57

can anyone direct me to a stockist for the Ewa Michalak bras? Searching online give me a Polish website that's a bit clunky to navigate.

TheMightyMing · 14/05/2014 19:52

Ooh sad!! I will have to scour the net for old stock. I think I have a few stashed and unworn (where they are is another matter!! )

SuperFlyHigh · 14/05/2014 19:55

Bear - I'm same as you - would like to try Ewa Michalak but very hard re their website quite complex I found!

evelynj · 14/05/2014 20:29

I think you need to put your measurements into a calculator on bratabase.com to figure it out for the ewa ones. Bras are about £30 but p&p from Poland seems quite a bit.

Shall we all email bravissimo & push them to stock them?! Would be much easier. Bras are such a pain-I'd love to try them but can't afford such an expensive gamble on sizing.

StatisticallyChallenged · 14/05/2014 20:46

I can help with EM sizing, I have tonnes of them. Their website is a bit clunky but they're fab bras so worth the effort.

BearPear · 14/05/2014 21:20

I figured out the price, but didn't check postage. How true to UK sizing are they & are they worth it in your opinion statistically?
