I need birthday ideas

It's my birthday in 2 weeks.

DH and DC (rather, DH and DH on behalf of DC!) would like to get me something nice, and I don't know what.

It is looking increasingly likely I had a dodgy thyroid, hence my utter inability to shift weight (as in, on a VLCD, strictly for a month, and lost not an ounce), and so once diagnosed etc I'm hoping I'll be able to shift the weight I want to, so expensive investment pieces of clothes are out.

I have just bought some lovely casual shoes to run after my DC in (Ash Virgin, a pair of the leopard print converse linked to on here, and zebra print slip ons), so really don't need anything in shoe department.

Am wondering if I NEED another for luna swimsuit (will probably still fit once weight is lost due to massive tits), or maybe Ray Ban Aviators? Though I have two lovely for luna swimsuits, and a pair of Ted Baker Aviators.

I'm very lucky to be in the position I am, I know that. But I also know once it comes and goes, I'll think OMG I really wanted XYZ, and I'll have went for something I don't really need in the meantime.

So, in a nutshell, I am spoiled, can you please help me think of something nice? Budget probably around about 100, could be slightly more, and of course less is also fine.

If you don't need stuff, how about an experience? Then you won't worry about whether you still want it later on.

I'm going to see Book of Mormon on my birthday, and dinner at joel robuchon, staying at the Langham.

Spa? Hot air balloon? Lamborghini track day? Chocolate making?

For £100, I would buy a blue scarf from Mercy Delta or put it towards a Les Exclusifs Guerlian perfume Grin

Do you like Liberty? Personally I'd love a £100 gift voucher for Liberty and then buy whatever I faniced. Or a nice handbag? I'm lusting after this one in the mint green: www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Accessories/Bags-Wallets/AM210/Womens-Soft-Leather-Bowling-Bag?NavGroupID=1

Had an experience last year for my 30th, and it was nice but it would probably be a couples one and I don't want to share again but not my thing really!

I'm considering this bag from Radley - opinions??

I could sell you perfume! I love 2 or 3 (Marc by Marc Jacobs, Narcisso Rodriguez Essence, Bobbi Brown Beach) but family keep experimenting and buying me ones that are nice, but always overlooked in favour of my most beloved!

One off piece of jewellery that you will wear everyday? Try Etsy or Notonthehighstreet or local craft co operative shop.
I like the bag too, which is amazing because I tend not to like Radley so much

I went for the bag - I'm the same I. That I usually don't like radley, think they're a bit twee, but this looks lovely. Hope it's as nice in the flesh!

Silver cuff or bangle engraved with a special message

parlux hairdryer - am thinking of asking for one for my birthday

As a real treat the very large bottle of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle bath oil that they brought out recently that costs £70 / £75 - would last for ages , be utterly indulgent and would look fab in my bathroom,

Good for you Bunty. Sorted. And happy birthday. Have a glass for me

BuntyCollocks · 14/05/2014 10:34

Thank you - I will do so! Wine
