DIY Long Bob

I'm sure I've seen this somewhere on here already but I can't find the thread anywhere, so apologies if there is an identical thread.

I have a long bob (it's quite a subtle graduation) but I want to trim it at home. Anyone have a foolproof method?

This sounds a bit dodgy, to me! A bob is a precision but and the "line"/graduation can make or break the style. Why not ask for a junior stylist to tidy it up for you, if it's a question of cost?

If you've curly hair or a layered/shaggy bob, you might get away with DIY but personally, I'd go professional, even for a trim.

Bob is a precision CUT.

Yeah I think you're right. I thought maybe as shape is already there, then it might be easy to trim but obviously not. Was just hoping to save 20 quid!

Was it what is now known as the mumsnet haircut?

Ah yes that's exactly what I was thinking of. I thought it was ponytail related. Doesn't magically turn into a long bob though unfortunately!!
Thanks for video though.
