DIY at home Shellac type polishes?

I met a lady on holiday last year who had brought a kit off ebay and did her own gel polishes. It looked lovely, better than my salon done one!

Does anyone do this? Recommendation of which to buy? Lots on ebay not sure which one

On eBay you can buy most brands that you would get done in a salon, eg gelish, shellac, artistic color gel, etc. All you need is the relevant primer, base coat etc and the lamp.

I've started doing mine myself using a sensationail kit from boots, just because it clearly had everything required in a kit with detailed instructions. It's quite easy, think I'll eventually move on to using one if the bigger brand. You can use the lamp with any brand.

You can google/YouTube step by step guides and if you browse the website of the brand you want you can figure out everything you need to order.

Mine doesn't last just as long as a salon manicure though that could be due to the difference in brands of my application. I usually still manage to get 1.5 weeks out of it though.

Think I am going to go for it and buy one Bluesky seems to be popular so will try that

I use bluesky and it is great!
Some colours give better coverage than others mind you but they are reasonably priced so you are able to build up a collection.

I ordered bluesky.. arriving tomorrow - excited!

I use the blue sky ones. They are fine but I have also splashed out on the jessica geleration ones and I find them much better!
