Cos is so fab at the moment

I always really liked the idea of Cos - minimalist, pared down and sleek, but the reality didn't often live up to this idea. But over the last few months, it seems to have transformed into an amazing clothes shop! Things fit better, there are fewer random weird things, and now when I try things on, I seem to like more than half, which is unprecedented for me.

My latest purchase is this skirt www.cosstores.com/gb/Shop/Women/Skirts/Twisted_seam_skirt/7086-15359392.1#c-24479 . A really lovely black skirt with twisted seams to add interest. I think I will be able to wear this most of the year, with the exception of hot summer and freezing winter days.

Now considering a red skirt that looks fab on the website, hmmm www.cosstores.com/gb/Shop/Women/Skirts/Flared_jersey_skirt/7086-18629446.1#c-85348

Agree they are lovely . Although I struggle with mid length skirts.

What shoes woudl you wear?

Saurus72 · 12/05/2014 21:27

Definitely high. In Summer, stilettos or wedges, and high knee boots in Autumn. I know what you mean about the length, but I wear high shoes most of the time anyway - short legs Hmm

How old are you Saurus? That kind of skirt makes me look aged, never mind middle-aged!

Saurus72 · 12/05/2014 21:36

Really? I'm 40, probably what you might call old! I will wear it with silk shirts from Whistles, maybe a sweatshirt, or a t-shirt.

Ah, I'm nearly 50 - maybe that explains it!

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 12/05/2014 21:46

That twist seam skirt is great - I love the look of it. I love a bit of Cos. It can look so fresh, but elegant.

KristinaM · 12/05/2014 22:05

Tilly, I think it's your style personality /type rather than your age. I Have friends in their 30s and 40s who couldn't wear this, while another in her 50s could. She has more of a dramatic style, wears contemporary classics with a twist .

An amazing new branch has recently opened in Dublin. It's over two floors. I have died and gone to heaven!

Saurus72 · 12/05/2014 22:12

Ooh yes coconut, that sounds fab. There aren't many stores, but at least they are usually a decent size so you can have a good rummage.

Ha ha, americano, I know the girl who has gone across to open that store. Her name is Kirsty, say hi to her for me.

I'm glad the store is good

CoconutAmericano · 12/05/2014 22:19

I think i have spoken to her! Well, i spoke to a pretty lady with a British accent Smile I asked her could i return something to the shop that i bought online but it was a no!

KristinaM · 12/05/2014 22:20

She is tall with dark hair and skin and a English accent. 20s.

Saurus72 · 12/05/2014 22:20

I can't understand why they don't allow returns to shops, you would think it would be less hassle for them.

Cos mail order is almost as annoying as the website. But I so love their clothes and no one else sells smilar styles on the hight street

CoconutAmericano · 12/05/2014 22:29

No i think this lady was pale with dark hair krisina. I moan about posting returns to Cos but they at least offer free returns and the delivery fee is refunded as well as the cost of the garment which is fantastic. Its so expensive to return stuff from Ireland usually.

It's a big Theresa May weird blue Space suit for me
