Kangeroo pouch hiding pants!

Pants, knickers, undies, panties, smalls....whatever you call them...I need some!

I have a 2 y-o DC and haven't bought new underwear since he was born, other than some cheap stuff from Tesco because I was hoping that at some point my tummy would flatten slightly and my kangeroo pouch would disappear.

All the stuff I have at the moment, whilst being comfy (very important) is not exactly flattering.

When you've stopped laughing at my naivety for thinking my figure would just 'ping' back, I'd love some advice on great, not horrifically unsexy, black (cotton) knickers that will help me wear all those lovely dresses I have that currently make me look around 16 weeks!

Thank you, lovely people. Smile

I know, I'm living the dream, aren't I! :)

Do you want some every day undies or 'shape wear' stuff? For squishing in my wobbly belly I swear by Spanx. I've tried other brands and makes but nothing does it for me like Spanx do. They hold me in, stop the wobble and help me lose weight by seriously restricting how much I can eat!!

Helliecopter · 11/05/2014 22:06

Ah I've just re-read and you want black cotton. Spanx are not those! You can get black but they are definitely not bedroom undies. Or even getting knocked over by a bus undies. No help on every day knickers sorry - mine are seriously embarrassing.

I think if you want cotton you are going to struggle because hoof it all in pants need a bit more welly to them.

Peacocks have these shorts style shape wear pants that are wonderful at smoothing out the pouch. They go from waist to top of leg but aren't restictive or too long like the cycling shorts style. I wear them most days and they are good because you never get the hungry arse with them and no vpl. They're about £6 in nude or black. Bloody marvellous.

Yes I think sexy/stylish and control wear doesn't go together Grin
There's some maidenform briefs that have lace on the back that aren't too horrendous. For everyday I wear maidenform leggings which have a tummy flattening panel

HenriettaTurkey · 12/05/2014 00:01

I suppose really I need both - something I can wear every day without feeling mortified, and something for occasions that DH will have to tolerate!

So it sounds like spanx are the latter...

Now I just need suggestions for the former. Sit ups and tummy tucks notwithstanding!

I bought primark's 4 pack of full briefs. dirt cheap and even my 15 yeast old daughter is tempted with some.

These are the maidenform lace ones. Not bad in black!
