If I got the zatchels one, I;d go for 13 inches (probably).

I don't think there's much in it in terms of size or stiffness of leather - I think they are probably both quite stiff.

Any thoughts?

just general summer stuff as an alternative to my black cross body.

the 2 buckle thing is putting me off the zatchels one a bit - petty I know!

I've seen other threads on other forums berating the lack of a top handle on the Zatchels. Makes it awkward to use apparently. But it would have been my choice out of the two.

I like them both, but definitely prefer the Maison Scotch one! I think the rounded shape is nicer, and I like the textured contrast on the leather. And the single strap.

I prefer the Maison Scotch one. Like, Koala I like the rounded shape more and the single buckle rather than double. I think it would be more versatile than the Zatchels one and would look good whether dressed casually or more formally.

Hate magnetic fasteners Corus. My preference is for a zip, but I will tolerate a buckle. Generally, there is very little pleasing me when it comes to bag fastenings .

So we have 3 votes for Zatchels and 2 Maison Scotch. Hmmm. Might order the MS one anyway, as the 20% off runs out midnight tomorrow. Will be in Central London that week, so can look at the Z ones in RL. Oh, decisions, decisions!

Think I will order the MS one and see what it is like. If I ever get my arse back in gear with my PhD, that might be the time to splash out out on a proper big satchel. (Although I'll probably still want a micro one cos they look so cute and impractical).
