sorry it's another 'help me accessorize this dress' thread

I've posted about this dress before but I'm still in need of help before I have yet another wasted shopping trip. I need shoes (and a clutch?) To go with this dress. And I have no idea what to do about jewellery.

I tried these shoes from zara as suggested on my other thread but they don't suit, I think my legs / ankles are too stumpy and they kind of cut me in half. I'm not sure if I'm explaining very well. I have also tried these from next but again not quite right, and very glittery.

So what should I be looking for? And in what colour? Blue to match the dress? Nude? Something bright? Something metallic? I'm very lost.

I'm off to west quay tomorrow if anyone knows it, so will have John Lewis and office, dune, zara, next etc to look around. Mail order also a good option. Ideally I don't want to spend loads as I doubt I'll ever wear them again. Heels don't really fit into my life!

Thank you

How about these? Maybe a not-too-busy floral (or otherwise multicolored, patterned) clutch?

MrsLettuce · 10/05/2014 17:37

Oh, but you look to fancy sandals - these?

newnameforanewstart · 10/05/2014 17:54

OMG - LOVE THAT DRESS!

Ok, so ankle strap shoes are a no no and tend to be for most people.

If your happy in heals

what about these should match the colour but that might be a bit too much

Or these Really quite wow in person either of the last two colours could do it with this [[http://www.dunelondon.com/booms-metallic-mermaid-clutch-bag-0007500670632081/ Clutch]

To be honest with a dress that stunning I would let it do the talking and go for understated and classic with the shoes

Silver shoes and clutch
Darker navy and Clutch
www.dunelondon.com/heloise-metallic-reptile-print-strappy-heeled-sandal-0088503940111380/ Silver Stappy worth a look as the position of the straps sort of enlongages as opposed to cuts the leg off so they may work]] and Maybe beaded clutch
Gold, again might work even though they have ankle straps and Gold clutch

PS: Where did you get that dress? and where are you going in it?

FiveExclamations · 10/05/2014 17:58

How about this bracelet with the silver sandals.

MrsLettuce · 10/05/2014 19:03

(newnameforanewstart it's the fab Pied a Terre 'slinky knot dress'. Comes in several versions, even with sleeves. Much loved and appreciated round these parts.)

SmileAndNod · 10/05/2014 19:06

Thank you for the suggestions, will have a closer look at the links once the dcs are in bed.

I'm not set on sandals, I really don't mind - court, peep toe, strappy - am open to all ideas. The heloise shoe from dune has been linked to twice so that's on my list for tomorrow.

New name I bought it from HoF, and its for my brothers wedding in the summer. I don't really do it justice but it's a gorgeous colour.

Well its an amazing dress, and I bet you look totally fab in it.

Can I also then suggest

pointed pink high heel

and

Rounded toe shimmer pink with this clutch

Honestly its a stunning dress! Off to look HOF myself.

MrsLettuce · 10/05/2014 19:23

If I was in the UK and had the cash I'd probably have about 3 versions of that dress by now. They've another dress which I suspect might well be equally versatile and flattering that I'd love to try too.

MrsLettuce · 10/05/2014 19:34

Ahem, back to the point. Sorry.

THis bag would be good with the gold Dune sandals for my second post. This too.

this would be grand with the silver version of the sandals

This might be too glitzy for you but it'd work really well if you go with coloured shoes.

MrsLettuce · 10/05/2014 19:38

ooh, or this in grey with (the) silver sandals?
another maybe for coloured shoes?

MrsLettuce · 10/05/2014 19:51

I'm guessing you've decided against black for some reason. Is that right?

It'd really be a great option in terms of having a long term, all year round, go to, 'posh' outfit. these would work so, so, well. They'd barely date, like the dress it's self. A very simple black clutch, understated jewelery, fab hair, maybe red lippy if you dare. Bam.

newnameforanewstart · 10/05/2014 20:08

Oh sorry op, I´ve just ordered the black one with sleeves - perfect LBD for a posh do.

Actually I think black and Blue look really smart together so that is definitely an option but I am not sure if it would work for a wedding.

I think the previous suggestion of the following shoes is great (they look lovely to me):

www.dunelondon.com/beachie-pointed-toe-high-heeled-court-shoe-0163508750003184/?utm_source=TnL5HPStwNw&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=LinkShareUK&utm_content=303104&utm_term=1:10&s2m_channel=700&s2m_exclickid=TnL5HPStwNw-nSsaIrJXL_3jc9.dzA34Vw&s2m_exaffid=TnL5HPStwNw&c3ch=LinkShare&c3nid=TnL5HPStwNw

I think I saw something very similar in Matalan if they are too expensive for you.
