Matching tattoo & piercing for anniversary? Yes or no?

DH is going for his tongue splitting next Friday and suggested we get a matching tattoo & piercing for our anniversary (today).

Good idea? Too popular? Too tacky? And if yes, where?

We bonded over decorating last year Grin With 6 DC it's not convient to have a bonding experience in the sun! Although a Snow holiday sounds lovely! Grin

The pain of tattoos & piercings doesn't bother us as we're not fussed by needles, and the pain is more of a slight burn than anything - my feet however was pure pain Grin

Crikey, I always skin my knuckles horribly stripping ivy, get a nasty rash too. Much worse than a tattoo.

My left armpit is next on the list - I'm reliably informed that that's going to hurt like fuck. Still can't wait though Confused

Have you lovelies all seen this already? Why you should never ever ever get a tattoo but having a baby is fine

MrsL - Oh, that made me smile!

DH has his inner armpits tattooed. He had tears in his eyes. He learnt his lesson though. After the first armpit, he numbed the other with cream Grin.

Oh but I love a twinset - am still trying to learn to knit tension is always all over the place. That said, at the moment I'm mostly making curtains and, well, more bloody curtains.

I remember the man in Vodafone telling me he had the alien from 'Alien' tattooed around his arm and armpit, and that he almost didn't have it finished as it was so painful! I am such a woosy when it comes to pain.

was told the same about the elbow and the inner elbow crease but both were totally doable Hmm So, I shall continue to delude myself that I can hack it

MultipleMama · 10/05/2014 20:00

I didn't find my inner elbow that bad, just more tender. The worst, has been my feet and ribs, oh and when the gun kept going over the bumps in my spine

I'm crap at knitting but I'm pretty handy at crochet and sewing!

If your not 100 percent I'd say no! Tattoos are for life... Kinda unless you get them removed! I sound like my mum but I regret couple of my tats

MultipleMama · 10/05/2014 20:49

I know tattoos are for life, I've had over 40 hours Grin I know if I'm not 100% I won't have it done, I'm still on the fence about it. Luckily I haven't regretted any! :)
