Hair and scalp sunscreen

Hello,

Has anyone got any recommendations? We are going on a beach holiday and are likely to be spending a lot of time in the sea and hence I won't always be wearing a hat.

I'm fair skinned and my scalp in the area of the parting tends to burn - I'd also like to protect my colour as much as possible. I've got straight hair which is cut into a bob.

Quite like the look of the Aveda sun care protective hair veil - has anyone any experience? I don't mind paying for a product if it is good (but happy with an excellent cheepie). My main concern is I don't want anything greasy.

I would just wear a hat tbh. Why can't you wear a hat in the sea? I'm assuming your mainly going to jut be in the sea and not actually diving under

I'm going to be body boarding a lot, and running round after a very active 4 year old. Hats just tend to fall off, especially if it is windy.

i've heard that Oriflame is good for hair protection. When I was in the Netherlands that was THE sort after product.

I have exactly the same hair and problem - I now wear a headscarf/bandana. just a square of material folded in a triangle and tied at back of head. you can swim in them, doesnt matter if they get wet, keep a few in your beachbag and one size fits all so you will always have one for you or the dcs.

have you tried a buff with UV protection?

Malibu scalp protector at Superdrug. works great!
