'Relaxed' comfy trousers/leggings

I'm pretty useless with knowing where to look for things so am in need of help.

I'd really like some good quality Lyra 'lounge' trousers/pants that don't cling that feel comfy but slightly flowy. I think I saw some once that we're described as yoga pants but I've looked online and the ones I've seen just look like leggings.

I live in my pyjamas at home and I guess I'm wanting something comfy but stylish like I can wear out to the supermarket or the school run.

Anyone know of any or even what keywords to search for?

What about those harem pants I hear people mention - I believe Next is the place.

threedeer · 08/05/2014 09:03

Look at Sweaty Betty's wide leg yoga pants.

Or if you don't mind spending a fair amount (cheapest are around £80) Poetry Clothing do beautiful wide leg slouchy trousers in every fabric form cotton jersey to linen and silk mixes.

Sorry this machine won't do links!

Jacksterbear · 08/05/2014 09:08

These are the Next hareem ones. Very comfy although a bit pyjama-like!

itiswhatitiswhatitis · 08/05/2014 09:11

I've got the next ones that jackster linked to. They are very comfy and go fine with a simple vest top. I found I had to go a size down with them though.

Secretsquirrel13 · 08/05/2014 09:16

I have the hush ones and the next ones both are very comfy.

harryhausen · 08/05/2014 09:21

Thanks everyone. I knew this was the right place to ask!

The Next ones look really good but I think I was hoping for a wider leg. Will have a proper look though.

I've never heard of Poetry but I LOVE their clothes. Thanks. Some of the trousers there are perfect (tentatively gets out credit)Smile

Wooo I'm liking Hush too. A whole new world....

I second Sweaty Betty
But urge caution with Hush - last year I got a load of clothes from them - I loved the look. Every single item bobbled within a few wears, t-shirts, trousers and sweatpants. I've got one item left from them and its so comfy I've kept it but it looks years old instead of less than 11 months

FreeButtonBee · 08/05/2014 09:31

Yes, hush quality is hit and miss. I am now holding out for the sample sale from now on. I don't think I can justify the on the full price stuff but it is lovely for lounging around in.

I have their harems from 2 years ago and they are v comfy although the tie belt has started to fray pretty badly with is a bit rubbish.

bigbadbarry · 08/05/2014 09:31

I hesitate to admit this in S&B but i just got a great pair in tesco! £12. Harem type shape. Not on their website (grr)

Martorana · 08/05/2014 09:34

If you have a big Sainsbury's, it's worth looing at their yoga pants. Boring colours, though.

harryhausen · 08/05/2014 09:36

Thanks for the caution about Hush. I do have a big Sainsburys nearby. My local one is quite rubbish for clothes but there is a larger one so I'll have a look thanks.

Loose fit trousers
I have a few pairs of these in different colours/patterns. They look great with plain white tops or can be dressed up with shirts for a sharper look/

Neena28 · 08/05/2014 09:41

Gap I'm wearing them right now! Part of their body range. Fold over waist which is flattering and then a loose leg with a drawstring at the ankle. I've had mine for years and have washed and washed them and they look good as new. I think they are about £35 and never seem to go in the sale...I would buy another pair if they did and have two pairs already!!

polyhymnia · 08/05/2014 10:02

Thinking of getting the Next ones. If you have them, do you only use 'around the house' or are they OK for going out too?

harryhausen · 08/05/2014 10:20

I have ordered the Next Charcoal ones. I'm going to browse the new brands MN has introduced me too a bit more slowly. Some lovely stuff.

poly I would wear mine out for a casual day look but not for evening / smart. Have seen posters on other threads say they would wear with heels & spangly tops etc for evenings though.

TereseaGreen · 08/05/2014 12:16

I wish I was not saving for a holiday

polyhymnia · 08/05/2014 12:17

Thanks, jackster.

DavenotChas · 08/05/2014 12:23

These from Matalan are good, comfy and wash well though maybe not as wide as you were after? At 8 quid they're worth a squiz though...

JohnCusacksWife · 08/05/2014 14:22

I wear my next ones lounging around the house, out & about with converse/flip flops during the day and have also worn them at night with heels and a silky vets top ....sort of sports luxe she says as if she knows what she's talking about

emilystrange2013 · 08/05/2014 19:33

What shoes do you wear with these?

CoconutAmericano · 08/05/2014 19:51

euro.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=13064&catalogId=34070&productId=14865721&categoryId=337796&parent_category_rn=337614

I bought these online in the sale to try them. Not sure what to wear them with. I would say these ones are for day time only.
