How to wear silk patterned trousers

I've just bought a pair of day birger et Mikkelsen silk trousers (will post link in a second). How do I wear them?? I was thinking black/navy courts or heeled sandals with same colour or ivory top.. Any suggestions?

Depending on where I was going I would probably wear gold sandles or maybe orange. I think gold would look good with an ivory top and orange sandles with navy top.
