sorting out Summer Wardrobe and finding it tricky to chuck things out

I always put my summer stuff away and vice versa when Winter is over or we start to get some warmer weather. I also have things that are inbetweeny.

I seem to have loads of t shirts and vest tops which seem to go on and on. Some are scruffy but then I will wear them at home or in the Summer on holiday in the pool etc or on the beach. I never seem to get rid of them.

I have put a pile of stuff out (in my dd room who is away) and will sort through and ebay or jumble sale them. I find it hard and the older i get the worse it is.

when i was younger I had no qualms about chucking stuff out.

I am pleased because at least I can see what I have.

Talk to me about what you do in regards to this.

Just today I decided to stop buying plain tees for just that reason!

They end up as sleepwear - they go on and on and on don't they!

Sleep, gym, home, gardening - they're perfect!

I keep 3-4 old tops and bin / recycle excess - cd you do that / do you need more than that? My husband can't throw stuff like that away either! (I do it for him...when he's out, doesn't even notice) Wink

Op I have a bag of high summer stuff. Med holidays only. Some years it stays there.

I probably won't buy anymore now. they do go on and on.

I have got space. at least my other stuff is kept for work or 'best'

Try to think about whether you actually feel good in them and feel they are flattering. If you love it, keep it, if not chucking out. Doesn't matter if you are just sobbing out at home, it's nice to feel you look good. Be ruthless.

lambzig makes a good point. None of my teeshirts make me feel good - not even for sleeping in :( Off to the bin with them all - as soon as I find replacements!

Mine are still ok. They are better quality than alot of the new stuff that seems to develop holes. The one I am wearing now is a bit short but I will change when I go out later. I usually spill stuff on things when I am at home so at least I won't ruin something nice.

also why is it that the t-shirt I bought last year has disappeared into a black hole? I wonder if one of my dds has made off with it?
