Has anybody had this done? And if so did your skin recover straight away?

Yes I have and I only had a tiny bit of redness afterwards which faded within an hour. I have quite sensitive skin as well.

Personally though, I've had better results with glycolic peels.

PeppermintInfusion · 04/05/2014 11:39

Yes no major issues for me either, just a bit blotchy for an hour or 2.

WildBill · 04/05/2014 12:26

Was this 'Crystalclear' ladies?

nyldn · 04/05/2014 15:01

yes, was always able to go straight to work or wherever. Be careful where you get it done, I think dermotologist is always best. I did mine paired with a light glycolic peel for a few rounds before my wedding as I have a horrible history with acne and didn't want to risk a nasty breakout that day - worked like a charm!

I have a diamond tome facial regularly. I have pretty sensitive skin and never had any problems with it, perhaps a bit pink immediately after but that's it.

Thanks for your replies! I had it done on Friday + my skin is still quite red + blotchy so was just wondering if it was just me and I was right. Don't think I'll be having it done again, even though therapist said I should go every week for next 10 weeks for best results.

Every week is FAR too often. It's a fab treatment but I'd be wary of anyone recommending every week. You wouldn't have any skin left!

chardom · 04/05/2014 19:56

I think you're right Catnuzzle! I still haven't felt able to put any make up on as my skin is still so sensitive. I feel like I have been out in the sun far too long!

I did it for my wedding prep last year, but was recommended once a month as that's how long it takes skin cells to renew (or something). In between I did mud/moisturising/etc masks.

Crazyfeministmama · 05/05/2014 00:30

I had this twice recently, a month apart. Both times my skin looked amazing more or less immediately followed by a breakout. I am not going again!
