Where can I get a handbag repaired?

I have a Shanghai Tang bag that I love, and the handle's coming away from the bag on one side (the stitching is going). I bought the bag on Ebay so no point trying Shanghai Tang. I've tried my local dry cleaner and shoe repair place and neither of them will touch it- can anyone recommend a company that repairs bags? I'm in West London if that's relevant. Thanks, and sorry for boring question!

When mine broke I just took it into the local shoe repairer/key cutter. He made a good job of the repair and it only cost a few pounds. Perhaps you could try Timpsons or another shoe repairer?

Yes a cobbler will repair bags.

You could try a saddlers/horse tack shop. They should know someone who does leather repairs and they may be able to help.

I tried Timpsons and my local dry cleaner - neither of them would do it. Might try looking for a saddler, though. I hadn't thought of that and there are one or two round here.
