Hi ladies,

Has anyone come across some comfortable wide fit sandals this season that don't look too frumpy? Thanks :)

Hi - I have wide feet and have just bought these in the navy/cream combo. Perhaps they are too frumpy for you, but they do look nice with skinnies and red painted toes so they don't seem frumpy to me!

you can't beat brikenstocks or fitflops for wide feet though. I have wide feet and love my birkis and brought fitflop flora this year, which come in lots of colours and are really comfy..

Fairylea · 30/04/2014 12:20

Lots of wide fitting shoes on the pavers and also hotter websites. Some very frumpy but you might find the odd thing which is quite nice.

IndigoBarbie · 30/04/2014 15:15

Erm, I too have very wide feet and I can only say FitFlop are amazing, they are not overly frumpy and are extremely arch supporting, allow me to walk forever and ever and ever.
They also last for years. It's quite a disappointing market out there for us wide feet girls, but fitflop are my fairygodmothers

Oh thanks so much ladies, lovely suggestions!! I was tired of looking at Clarks and m&s only. One question, are the Next extra wide fit sandals suggested, are they same as normal wide fit or are they much bigger?

I have wide feet. I love Birkenstocks, so comfortable.

This year I have these Clarks for this summer and they seem very comfortable but have only worn them around the house so far.

WheresRyder · 30/04/2014 20:03

They aren't too bad the next ones. Returns are easy enough though if they are too wide.

Theas18 · 30/04/2014 20:06

Fit flops here. Though sadly I reckon they have " tailored" the foot bed to look slim and elegant now - I definitely hang over the sides of some styles and I don't in my older ones.

IndigoBarbie · 30/04/2014 21:21

Theas yep. I asked them to update their site to allow us to choose easily "classic" foot beds vs the newer slimline ones! Still waiting though

BikeRunSki · 30/04/2014 21:27

I have just bought these in an 8 (my normal size) and they are surprisingly wide and generous fitting. Boden footwear has never fitted me before. I usually need Clark's wide fit or DMs.

101handbags · 01/05/2014 11:35

For the Next extra wide fit, I must admit the sizing is sometimes a bit off - I am a size 6 and I ordered the 51/2 and the 6 and the 6 was perfect but sometimes you do have to size down 1 size or 1/2 a size.
