How do you go about 'getting your colours done'?

I've always thought it was something only ladies of a certain age did but I've seen it a lot on this site so am thinking perhaps I'm making a mistake dismissing it entirely?

Where do you start? Do I have to pay someone to do it or can I just hold various coloured clothes up to my face...?

Look on the House of Colour website for a consultant near you.

Ask for a colour (or colour and style) day voucher as a birthday/holiday/being generally wonderful gift.

Or just book it yourself.

Solo much easier with professional guidance.

I did it with House of Colour, and find it really useful to be able to disregard colours when shopping. I was making a lot of the right decisions anyway, but now I've got a massive palette of colours that I can add to my grey and navy, and they all go together.
