Superga sizing....so confused!

I ordered some Superga's and am normally a size 7 - 7.5 in some shoes.

I got them in a size 41.5 but they are too big. They are quite big so could probably go down a size, but the Superga sizing is confusing.
They don't do a size 40.5, only a 40 or 41 or 41.5.

I am confusing myself here and rambling! So on their website it says:

41.5 = 7.5
41 = 7
40 = 6.5

So ideally I would want a 40.5 and they don't do that size. But if I drop a size to a 6.5 (which I think I could going by how big they are) on the Euro sizing that is dropping 1.5 sizes from 41.5 to 40. I could drop a size but not 1.5 sizes. So are the UK sizes right or the Euro?!

Has anyone had them in a size 7? What size did you buy. I don't want to order the wrong size again and have to send them back!

I think the sizing is slightly bonkers and you need to try a few on. I have burgundy ones that are supposed to be a uk6 and they say 39.5

But my silver ones were huge in that size, so I have a pair of 39s in those.

I ordered some that said uk3 and are actually a 35.5. They fit perfectly and id say I'm a 36.5 really. What I'm basically saying is mine fit and are a whole size smaller than I normally am. Have the silver ones if that helps.

I sized down half a size and they are perfect - I have noticed few shops do half sizes, apart from the a Superga website which is quite annoying.

Going off what you have said I think the 40 should be about right I think.

They are massive ... I love the way they look but my feet don't .. im size 4 , 5 in trainers but size 4 were tok big and 3 a smudge too small but much better than the 4 -- I gave up
