I'm just running out of stuff and shortly about to go on maternity leave - and and maternity pay - so am looking to revamp my skincare products but don't want hefty price tags that will be unsustainable once smp kicks in!!

I'm more of a face wash + moisturiser kind of gal (as opposed to cleanser, toner etc).

Any recommendations please? Have heard good things about Boots Botanics stuff... Any others?

Have you got an asda nearby? It's worth going in for the n spa range. I was very much a clarins benefit and decleor type but got a set given for Christmas and it's fab. The night cream, gel facial wash, scrub and facial oil are all really good. I've not been disappointed in any of it.

Aldi skin care is fab!

I'm really impressed with the Superdrug 'B' range which is half price at the moment: www.superdrug.com/skin/skin-phase-3/icat/bs-bskinphase3

If you have a large Sainsburys near you, you might be lucky enough to find the Nip+Fab range on better than half price. I got a moisturiser and a night cream for £5 each recently (£15.99 RRP).

Another vote for Superdrug - the stuff in the green packaging. Lovely face wash (with a hot cloth but I cba with that much) and serum/moisturiser combined.

Thanks all. Asda and Sainsburys not specially close but do-able so will take a look when I'm next in there!

I had the Aldi moisturiser and liked it BUT it made me spotty Sad

Astral moisturiser all the way. It is cheap as chips but is fab. Check out the retro skincare thread Lots of good ideas and recommendations on it.

My skin doesn't agree with the aldi or lidl skincare but has taken really well to the n spa from asda. My patents live near an asda so I go in when I visit them and stock up.
