Please help me find this hat!

Last August bank holiday I was at a pop-up market in Exeter and saw The Hat. Grey silk with flowers - beautiful colour and shape. It was one of the few hats that didn't look like it had just landed on me. I loved it but it was £70 and I had nowhere to wear it so I didn't buy it. Huuuuge mistake! I now have an event in June for which a posh hat is required and I need to track down that hat!

The stall had a number of straw hats priced about £25. And 4 or 5 silk ones, with high scrunched down crowns and rolled brims. Very delicate colours. I have googled Devon hats etc and cannot find the makers. It was a cottage industry kind of stall - the hats were all handmade. Can anybody living Exeter way help me with this?? Please?

If no-one can provide a direct contact, you could try the "Events, Facilities and Markets Manager" at Exeter City Council. He/she might be able to tell you the event organiser (ie the person who applied for the licence). That route would be rather laborious, so I hope someone local can be more help.

It probably wasn't Gil Fox but I love these hats and they sound a bit similar.

Just Seven Designs perhaps?

Just seven is similar so if I can't track down the original, I shall check them out. Gil fox's are lovely but would definitely look like they were wearing me! I have asked exeter's shopping centre about it !

If I'd only taken a bloody business card. Or bought the hat! Why? Why didn't I do this????
