Wedding outfit advice needed-please help!

I am going to a loosely 1920s themed wedding in June and would like a classy, flattering outfit.

DP's ex will be there which isn't an issue but I would like to make sure I'm feeling my best about myself.

I only want to spend around £200 max but don't want to risk wearing the same as others.

I'm a size 8-athletic, flat chested figure rather than petite. The best colours for me are greys and greens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cannot find anything.

What with the wag types you mean?

Do you want to? You could always wag it up with false eyelashes, lots of make-up and very high heals...Wink

Or just be yourself.Smile

Hahahaha, I know, I know... I suppose I'd stand out for being different to the many bodycon* clad women there.

*I do love a bit of bodycon myself to be honest.

Darling often have 20s-ish things, very pretty and not too expensive.

I went to a 20s party recently and wore a black sequin t shirt dress with a (fake) fur wrap and lots of jewellery - it came off better than I expected, but black for a wedding might be a bit off?

Thanks capsium, the YAS one is lovely, I'm compililing a shortlist for DP so I dont annoy him too much about what to wear!

That's OK. I'm contemplating possible future purchases as I'm doing this. Grin

This search has made me realise how much I have missed out on forgetting about eBay! There are some amazing bargains out there!

Trying to hold back the temptation to look for likely 20s dresses on eBay ...

Justinepants · 02/05/2014 01:14

I've just spotted this, rather like the original pleated one.

I have stopped really!

fatedtopretend · 03/05/2014 11:41

The dress I wanted has been removed from eBay before the listing ended Sad

Suppose it's a blessing in disguise as it would have been a waste of money now that I'm not going to the wedding!

Oh no, on both counts! That's still annoying about the dress on eBay. I hate it when that happens.

I hope all ok re the wedding.
