Playsuits and jumpsuits

Floral or stripey or best left for the very young? I can't see myself wearing one again. I've seen quite a few around in shops. On a couple of women too. One in her 30s and she looked great in a sort of retro-punky way.

Check out all the "am I too old?" threads. Then go out and buy one.

I've had both jumpsuits and playsuits. Found JS weren't particularly flattering, but the right PS (not too short!) can be excellent in the summer: flippy, flared style but with less risk of flashing your knickers!

I've just bought myself a jumpsuit to wear to a family meal this weekend. I've wanted one for a couple of years but thought I was too old to pull it off. Anyway this one is perfect fit and I feel fabulous in it.

Love them, and I think jumpsuits in the right material can be very classy.

LCHammer · 25/04/2014 21:10

Ooh, Bexicles, can you link?

I just bought the Zara denim jumpsuit I was 42 last Saturday. Feel an idiot but it's comfy. Tiny bit short in the body and a pain to go to the loo in though. ;)

I had a look at the Zara one. It's quite full-on! I noticed that they generally come under the category of 'maxi dress', not an area I'd have thought to look under.

I remember the cover of a magazine in the 80s of the two girls from Abba in pale coloured jumpsuits, a glam look I thought. It might have had its day, though.

Full on? It's quite casual, I think. This is how it looks on a model: www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/dresses/denim-jumpsuit-c358003p1836008.html
My bum is bigger than hers, so looks a tad different on me.

Serious jumpsuit, one to be noticed in. I cringe at the thought I used to wear a shortish playsuit to work. It was navy, but even so...

NoArmaniNoPunani · 26/04/2014 15:32

I'd like to wear one if I could find one for tall people that doesn't slice my minge in half

LadyWithLapdog · 26/04/2014 16:22

like this?

PacificDogwood · 26/04/2014 16:25

That denim Zara jump suit looks like something my plumber wore the last time he fixed the boiler Grin.

Nope, I dont' like them. They might be on trend, but are rarely flattering. And who can be asked to go through a total disrobe just to go for a wee??

Nope, just desist.

IamInvisible · 26/04/2014 16:30

I saw so many women wearing them on holiday recently, and very few looked good in them imo.

I, agree with Pacific tbh.

LadyWithLapdog · 26/04/2014 17:49

no

no

god no

yes

Lesleythegiraffe · 26/04/2014 17:58

Generally, both are hideous and I've never seen anyone in real life who looks good in one.
