Is there an age limit? or body shape limit?? I read once that if you cant wear a bikini you shudlnt wear a pair of shorts either...BUT
I dont like my post baby tummy ( despite helthy diet and fitness lifestyle) but my legs look good...
I'm 35 5ft9, size 12..am I too old?? I dont mean to wear it in London but on a day out by the river with kids etc

I think fine - I wore tiny yellow cut offs last summer and no-one died Grin

Just make sure you have a pedi and fake tan and a demure top - a plain loose grey or white tee or a shirt or something. And big sunnies to style it out hide behind

I bought some Acne faded and ripped black boyfriend ones (still teeny)for £4 in a charity shop last week so will be getting my legs out as soon as sun peeks out.

I got some nice ones from H&M yesterday, they are quite skinny but long, so only just above knee. I like them.

I think at 35 there's no age problem.
Your body sounds good for them too :)

There's shorts and there's shorts! Teeny tiny shorts with mum tummies, muffin tops and cellulite thighs look terrible, longer ones may not!

There's a world of difference between a bikini and a pair of shorts though .
I think providing they are covering everything they should (ie not with the pockets hanging below the legs and no bum cheeks on view) then wear with pride.

Of course the ripped ones should only be worn by people like my DD with her tiny size 6-8 bottom Envy not jealous me.......ok , I am, I'm an old Dragon

no ladies, i dont mean a tiny hot pants lol
, i bought a nice longish type kimono from h&m the other day and also got a pair of nice leather boots (hidden wedges) so they give me that hidden umpf and make my legs even longer..bit of colours on m,y legs and as someone suggested big sunglasses to hide behind ;))

Thanks, I need to find the perfect pair then x

If your happy to wear an above the knee skirt then I can't see any problem with decent length shorts.

I'm 46 and I keep shorts for on holiday, but I did when I was much younger too. I have wide hips and a big arse, but I don't have the shoulders or boobs to balance them.

I really do look like a cartoon pear in shorts or a short skirt.

Hot pants, should only be worn by DD2 and other size 6-8 teens. (DD1(16) and a curvy size 12, has more sense and is to be found in denim shorts that are short rather than indecent)

I'm 34 and just ordered a new pair of denim shorts yesterday! Personally I only wear mine with tights or leggings underneath, not brave enough for bare legs.

Agree that bum cheeks hanging out is a no-no
