has anyone bought anything from their company?
I tried <a class="break-all" href="//twww.johnlewis.com/louche-juluette-dress-navy/p1201145" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this on in John Lewis today. Love this style, it fitted well at the front, nice midi length, but masses of excess fabric around the zip at the back. 12 was a little too fitted for me around the waste (puzzlingly with a all the excess material) the 14 was absolutely fine at the waist but far too much excess

I have had a look at the site and their are quite a few I like the look of, has anyone else had problems with the fitting of these clothes?

Hi

I work in a shop which sells Louche dresses and most ladies need a size up. They are very true to size with NO give usually. E.g. A ten has a 28 inch waist exactly so if you're half an inch bigger than this you probably need a twelve. Don't feel bad, they're not kind but they are beautiful dresses!

I've got one in a size 12 when I was normally a 10/12 and I love it. 36 weeks pregnant though so can't wear it right now!

Where was the excess on the 14? Sorry can't seem to get link to work so can't see which one you're looking at

the excess was all around the mid back. the zip just wouldnt sit straight as there was so much excess
this is the link

Your link doesn't work so can't see the dress in question.

I have quite a few Louche dresses and agree with the poster above. The jersey ones are fine and true to size. Anything with a zip I have found very neat and have sized up.

Love their stuff though Smile .

What

What would you call

This shape dress?
Dunno what happened with the messages!

twoboots · 21/04/2014 20:34

It sits just at the knee (I'm 5ft5) and I would have though it was a tea dress or fit&flare. My problem is that it looks great at the front, but lots of excess fabric around the zip over my midback.

Did you try another dress in the same size? Maybe there was a fault with the one you tried. The fit doesn't sound right.
