Wardrobe decluttering - aargh!!

Sad I know, but I am spending the afternoon doing a bit of a wardrobe declutter and tidy up. I am really struggling because having too much stuff really stresses me - in an ideal world I would have 3 perfect dresses, 1 perfect coat etc - but I love fashion and also find it really hard to get rid of things which are perfectly nice but I just don't wear...

Anyone else ?

I usually clear stuff out every few months haven't done it for a while though I'm overdue a big wardrobe spring clean too

I did all the drawers of underwear, t-shirts etc., about 10 days ago. Still trying to get my motivation back to start on the wardrobe.

I meant to do this today but have been on netflix all afternoon instead.

Netflix sounds a lot more appealing.

I have realised I have about 15 winter jumpers but only wear about 5 - but because they are reasonably good quality, I feel like I can't get rid of them in case "they are useful in the future"!!!!

I'm definitely in the same camp. Bursting wardrobe and several crates under the bed. I'd love to be more disciplined, but am always looking for that perfect outfit that will make me look young, slim and elegant. Hence buying lots of stuff that doesn't!

I have just had a massive clear out.
I went through my wardrobe and got rid of stuff I haven't/won't wear, then realised I had no real outfits to wear - so went shopping again!

I've tried to put things that no longer fit into labelled vac bags in the loft for when/if I can fit in them again...

I've also organised my new/remaining clothes into work/non-work, this plus trying to build a capsule wardrobe (I mean having basics in a couple of neutral colours that I can wear with a range of other colours (scarves, tops, bags etc) means that hopefully I can always find something to wear Smile

I'm also guilty of hanging on to things because there's no reason to throw them out - maybe put them away and then get rid if you've not missed them?

I agree about the not having any outfits issue. I am guilty of just buying random things that don't go together.

Well, finished for today. My knits are neatly folded and I have a small bag of things to take to the charity shop, so I guess that's better than nothing...
