Friend's son is getting married next Saturday and she will be staying at a city centre hotel. She and two others from out of the area would like 'up dos' for the wedding.
Do any Liverpool mumsnetters know of a mobile hairdresser that may be willing to glam them up at their hotel?
TIA

Peaches & Cream are the business - but not cheap (and likely to be booked up fairly far in advance) - www.fabulousmakeup.com They cost a fortune and don't be put off by the website and some of the 'classic scouse' looks on there, they are incredibly talented and can do anything with hair. I think it is much much cheaper to visit their salon on Dale Street though - call out charges are ££££.

You could try Voudou also - they have several very highly regarded salons in town and may be able to help with someone who could come out to the hotel or you may find it's just as easy for them to pop into a salon to get glammed. Liverpool city centre is tiny - which hotel is it they're staying at?

PS If no luck with Peaches & Cream (or the salon is too far away), try these - good reputations (I used to have a bridal dress business so know of a few by reputation) and worth a call:

Thanks emsyj - I'll forward those links onto her.
I can't remember the name of the hotel, but I remember her saying city centre. She can always jump in a cab if necessary!
She'll be delighted to have something to go on - thanks again x

If it's city centre then many salons will be within an easy walk or short cab ride - good ones are Barbara Daley, there's 2 Andrew Collinge and there are 2 Voudou salons all of which should be able to help if none of the mobile folk are available. Smile

Id give voodoo a miss to be honest, 10 minutes to put my hair in a bun - £38 for the priviledge Shock.

Try andrew Collinge or Toni & Guy in Whitechapel. Both in town centre, Both have staff more pleasant than Voodoo!

Oh that's a shame Mrpicklesquire - I've only ever heard good reviews of Voodou, although that is for cutting & colouring rather than hair up.

Honestly you would not be disappointed with Peaches & Cream - if you can get a booking.
