I have always suffered with red cheeks and a high colour. I also have really oily skin. I thought as I got older the oily skin would become dry but its not. im almost 40 now and its as bad now as ever!
I use an expensive cleanser, toner and moisturiser as I also have sensitive skin.
ive had my make up done by "the experts" but nothing lasts long before the shine starts.
what do people with oily skin use as a foundation as ive spent a fortune over the years and especially in the last few months trying to find a foundation that wont look caked on but wont start to shine within a couple of hours. can anyone help me????

The best I've found is Revlon Colorstay for oily skin Smile my t-zone is AWFUL but when I use this my skin stays shine free. It's quite a heavy foundation though, so not so good if you only want light coverage. And at just over £12 it's pricey (for my price range, anyway) but I would never buy a different foundation.

Bumping this for you. I bought a mac gel eyeliner for £15 and it was half off by lunchtime. Most disappointing.

I like the Lancôme Teint Idole 24h.

Have to say that all make up is now stating on miles better since I started using that La Roche Posay Effaclear Duo stuff! Smile

I've had no joy with Effaclar Duo yet, although still on my first tube do hoping it will get better. Do you apply it like a moisturiser, morning and night?

Blondieminx · 19/04/2014 21:28

Yes, exactly like that Smile

Bare Minerals is good too if you can find a shade to suit....

alltoomuchrightnow · 20/04/2014 01:37

bare minerals makes me impossibly, almost mirror like shiny…. and my pores look a hundred times larger. I haven't tried their matte ones, mind…. i gave up after wasting so much money on the foundations and powders

ditto colorstay

justabigdisco · 20/04/2014 08:19

Can anyone recommend an eyeliner that doesn't slide off the face after five minutes?

Allice · 20/04/2014 08:49

Watching with interest. My main problem is my eyelids, can't keep anything on them for more than 5 minutes. Always look like I'm wearing no make up at all!

ilikebigbutts · 20/04/2014 09:04

justabigdisco - try the Maybelline gel eyeliner. Much cheaper than MAC and lasts pretty well on me.

alltoomuchrightnow · 20/04/2014 10:29

maybelline gel eyeliner lasted five mins on me.. such a shame..the purple is such a nice shade but…

justabigdisco · 20/04/2014 10:35

I tried the brown maybelline, it was ok but looks more like a pencil than a gel when on. Can't get the clean lines / flick with it. Have bought a Rimmel exaggerate after reading about it on here - will report back.

You need the Urban Decay eye primer under your eye makeup. Put it all over your lids. Its amazing and I guarantee your eye liner will not slide off. Also try Mac face primer under your foundation. You need these professional make up tricks!!
