Tom Ford Grey Vetiver

I sprayed this perfume in Lewis' today and loved it as a fresh day/office perfume. However, checking pricing online now realise it is for men!

Anyone use this as a female fragrance? Would it be weird to wear as a few mol fragrance? Anyone know of any female equivalents that smell similar?

Yes - I have worn this for a few years now. I love it. I much prefer mens fragrances to womens - spent my earlier years smelling of Calvin Klein's Eternity for Men

I love Grey Vetiver - many of Tom Ford scents are for both. If you love it, wear it !

my absolute fave on DH :) I don't wear it because I prefer how it smells on DH but I would definitely if it smelled as nice on me!

A relatively low cost fantastic Vetever parfume is the one made (for men) byL'Occitaine en Provence called Vetyver

I've always loved more masculine scents- as long as they aren't too marine, or ozonic, and wear Vetyver by L'Occitaine with a light floral to brighten it up (sometimes).

I love Grey Vetiver. I thought it was a unisex fragrance, anyway.

Go for it. My favourite scent ever is Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, which is spectacularly masculine. I spray it all over me when ever I'm in Selfridges. Unfortunately a) it is extremely expensive and b) dp and all of my friends hate it.

Ooh I'm going to put Grey Vetiver on my list of samples to buy!

Just acquired Tuscan Leather and like you Remus I think it's amazing! I keep spraying DP with it so I can sniff him all day.

I've also just discovered Tobacco Vanille and have fallen for it big time. It's the scent I've been dreaming of for years!

Tom Ford is a clever clever man .

It is AMAZING and I covet it too. But if you think this one is good try creed vetiver. It is ££££££ but the nicest thing I have ever smelled.

I love Grey Vetiver too. I like it better on a woman (reminds me too much of a certain sort of male corporate power-player - I can't seem to shake of this association when worn by a man).

Does anyone else smell carrot in it's opening notes?

It smells like cough syrup mixed with a hippy stall at Glastonbury on me.

Last summer I bought Rive d'Ambre to replace my Neroli Portifino and I love it!

To be fair I like most TF fragrances so if they weren't soo £££ I would own a lot more.

I adore Tuscan Leather.
It's bloody expensive though.

Mrs Cocoa - it's the orris, that the carroty smell you notice.

I wore Grey Vetyver for about a year, in fact dh and I shared a bottle of it. Then I switched to Neroli Portifino and I LOVE that one. It ran out so I decided to replace it with Creed Vetyver, which I like but I prefer the TF one so will go back to that one next.

I also love Aqua di Parma and Santa Maria Novella cologne and L'Eau D'Artisan (may have spelt wrong!)

Yes, Rive d'Ambre is TF, it was launched last year if I'm not mistaken.

Went and sprayed Black Orchid all over myself today. It's v strong and sickly at first, but as the day has gone on it has 'settled' well and now smells lovely.

I love black orchid. My kids say it smells of "me"!

I have asked my family for John Lewis vouchers for my next birthday so that I can buy Grey Vetiver. It is absolutely gorgeous and I always spray myself all over when I am in JL.
