I put them back in the box when I opened them as I didn't like heel shape. Then tried on. So nice. Would you like a photo?

Forlornhope · 30/04/2014 20:28

Oh, yes please! I'm not sure I would get them - am thinking of getting the Dune Hunnie black suede ones that I have been dithering over.

Btw I tried on the Banana Republic Sloane trousers today. Size 2 is too tight (for work) but size 4 fitted well (prob too big for casual - I like tight for casual, but good for work). They are very thick and stretchy, aren't they!? They aren't normal trousers, though - they have some jean like features eg back pockets. Not a problem, but just a point to note.

I bought the Office Kitten pointed flats in black patent leather and have buyers remorse - they pinch a little. I should have bought Banana Republic's version, and I will. Life's too short for pinchy shoes, esp flats which are meant to be comfy.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 30/04/2014 20:31

Thank you! Yes, think I will get similar shoes that have a narrower, black heel.

lurkingaround · 30/04/2014 20:35

Like the sandals. What a bargain. Also great ankles, if I may be personal.

Jeez, NO to cleavage at work. Tho I do come across it. And then it's awkward cos I'm trying to keep my eyes off the cleavage and I get the stare....

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/04/2014 20:39

No to cleavage anywhere imho.

Lovely feet btw, FH. Wink

Forlornhope · 30/04/2014 20:41

Lol. Don't look too close. Wouldn't wear them to work. But nice with black skinnoids I think.

Forlornhope · 30/04/2014 20:41

Plus posting them back would be 4£

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 30/04/2014 20:44

The sandals do look really good on you, if it helps...

Forlornhope · 30/04/2014 20:47

Ta. Will wear in this weekends social whirl Wink

noddyholder · 30/04/2014 20:57

yes need nice feet for those

Drywhiteplease · 30/04/2014 21:04

"Not normal trousers" hehe.....I like not normal trousers! My work is smart/casual so I'm lucky, I like a fitted trew.
If I had any cleavage I absolutely wouldn't flash it at work, I have spent my whole adult life trying to show cleavage on the weekend though Envy.

Forlornhope · 30/04/2014 21:10

We have some TAS who flash agree of flabby cleavage. And SLT who dress like apprentice wannabes. Not good

lurkingaround · 30/04/2014 21:25

Grin Dry! Meh, cleavage is overrated if you ask me!

noddyholder · 30/04/2014 21:29

I think cleavage hard to get right. I work with all men so would be inappropriate mostly

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/04/2014 21:30

Is it possible to get it right, I wonder? Maybe only for small norks?

noddyholder · 30/04/2014 21:45

Or the right clothes and good underwear. I think a hint of is more flattering on me than a high neck. Full on in your face needs a tan! (and youth usually)

kikidee · 30/04/2014 22:51

Can I join please? I'm off to London tomorrow to try on everything in Banana Republic (don't have one where I live) in the hope of finding some skirts or trousers for work. I've been looking for trousers since last year with no success. I have tried on many many pairs but purchased none. I need trousers as my way out of the summer nude tights problem!

FoxyHarlow123 · 01/05/2014 05:34

Kikidee, have you tried these?

Don't be put off by the shops - the fit and quality is great.

Forlornhope · 01/05/2014 06:21

I tried the next ones. Slightly higher on the waist

DesperateHousewife21 · 01/05/2014 07:29

I like those RI ones, I want a pair of cigarette pants but so hard to find! I like the pale blue too makes a change from black.

My dress code is smart/ casual. Pretty much anything goes except jeans. Today ill be wearing New Look slim fit black trousers, Dorothy Perkins pink and black long sleeved blouse and black Next pumps. Ill post a pic later Grin

Drywhiteplease · 01/05/2014 07:50

Can anyone recommend a nice flat black shoe for work to replace these they've had it.....up to £100... I like suede, I like pointy and I like lined......bit bored of ballet flats.

noddyholder · 01/05/2014 08:32

Other stories have lots of lovely flats. About £50 and really nicely made I have a pony skin pair but they do plain too and their suede is really nice and thick Mine are lined gold! But you can't see it when they're on not sure if the plain ones are the same.

lurkingaround · 01/05/2014 10:31

I second other stories. Really nicely made, v good quality. I got a pair of pointy-ish ballet flats in their sale, leather lined, I think 55 full price, very reasonable. The only thing is their sizing. You have to try on.

lurkingaround · 01/05/2014 10:52

These for Dry?
