I know this is probably old but I'm in need of some new foundation, I haven't brought any for ages and I'm now coming to the end of my bottle of Clinique, so what does everyone else use? I'm also going on holiday in a couple of weeks, so again any tips for face care would be appreciated xx

I've tried all sorts, from cheap as chips up to chantacaille or however you spell it. I recently had my skin colour matched at Boots No 7 and am well pleased with the results. The consultant was excellent and advised me on the coverage I needed as well, which made a big difference. My days of 'light coverage' are gone, but medium is brilliant. Totally recommend it.

I had thought about trying No.7 but I hadn't come across anyone who had actually had the colour matching done, I think I'll give that a try, I've tried most foundations at 1 point or another but never No.7 x

Have you ever tried bare minerals? I'm devoted to it, it's so much least messy to put on and also doesn't feel so heavy in the heat :)

Also, if you time it right you can get the 10% off at debenhans for the starter kit (get the full size foundation not the two small ones) with brushes etc or QVC do some fab buys on it.

I'm loving Max Fac Whipped Cream. Dippy pot, and cheap as chips. Perfectly matches my skin tone, and more staying power than Bourjois Healthy Mix which I had before.

I have dry old skin and the cream consistency is great.

I tried Bare Minerals and ended up looking like Barbara Cartland after she'd been tango'd.

I tried the n 7 Lift and Luminate, it was alright, but nothing special.

If you want posh, apparently the latest holy grail is lancome teint idole 24 hr.
