Capri pants - how tight?

Just how tight are Capri trousers supposed to be? Just trying some on - one pair too tight on waist but snug leg fit, the next size up fit nicely on waist but are slightly loose around bum and legs. How should a 41 yo be sporting these togs?

I think no matter what you wear, it is supposed to be just right and fitting. Not tight at all. It could be the cutting/shape and not necessarily the size of the piece.

I had a google, and found the two different cut. I hope they show up as more obvious in the shape.

This is more like wider at the hips and then slim to the legs.

This one is straight from hip to leg. Can you see the difference ?

It sounds like you got the second type but you need the first type with the curve around the hip.

I follow this chart. I got a pair of 3/4 cropped sporty trousers which is more of the "harem" style. Wider at the hip and then slim down to the leg.

Oh, the other thing is also, bear in mind that say a size 12 in M&S will be different to a size 12 in Wallis. (Yes, I got caught out many a times, and bought the wrong things.)
