hello Bra Guru's, it's me AGAIN

So, my bra is too big, in both back and cup. It's a 32G. I've just measured myself according to the bra guru guidlines and I measure 32.5 underbust and 40.5 across the bust at ninety degrees. What should I try. My current bra, the best fitting I own which I'm wearing now is 32G as mentioned above and is the Freya Patsy, unpadded. Straps are falling all over the place, I could get TWO fists under the back of it if I really tried and the cups are wrinkled quite a lot at the tops. boobs are fairly bottom heavy but not saggy, not much under the arm pits, very little to scoop, even vigorously.Any suggestions for a new size gratefully received.

Did you pull the tape really tight when measuring underneath?

OneLittleLady · 15/04/2014 17:30

As tight as I could get it. I think I would have snapped the tape if it'd been any tighter!

How long ago did you measure/but the Freya Patsy bra?

Can you measure again just to be sure?

Freya are pretty true to size but do run a little larger than the Panache family of ranges (Panache, Cleo and Sculptresse).

The Patsy, whilst called a balconette, is actually more of a plunge style. A lot of people would get wrinkling at the top of the cup in this bra, especially those who are more bottom heavy.

Have you tried any other brands/styles?

I only bought the patsy about two months ago but since then, I've lost a little over half a stone. When it was bought, it fit perfectly both in band and cup, no wrinkling in the cup at all and the band was tight enough that I could only get a couple of fingers under it. It hasn't been machine washed or anything either, only cool handwash and dried flat. I've measured again to be certain and the tape measure is still giving the above numbers.

I would guess that your weight loss has taken you down a cup and possibly a band too. Nothing else could really explain such a change in fit in such a short period of time.

I would suggest trying a 30G in some different brands and styles. Perhaps something like the Cleo Juna or Lucy, Bravissimo half cups, Tutti rouge half cups.

Thank you, I'll be going to town on thursday so will head to the HoF outlet we've got as that has the best selection of bigger cup sizes and smaller back sizes locally.
