Style me! (maternity edition)

I am 5 months preg now and look appalling in the few clothes that do fit me so I am going to go shopping after work.

I am not terribly good at shopping or styling so desp for advice! I didn't buy any maternity clothes in my last pregnancy as was a lot smaller so I don't really know what is sensible to go for. Are maternity t shirts etc worthwhile? Do they do a good job of making one look like one has neat bump rather than just a baggy t shirt that makes you look all fat?

And maternity jeans?

And shoes? I am finding everything so uncomfortable. Would it be wise to get some nice loafers or something? (I work in an office - smart casual).

What is your secret to dressing when preg?

I mostly just want to look neatly pregnant (as I'm sure everyone does) instead of like a complete whale.

Help!

I am not great at style, however i think the key is tight! close fitting fitted t shirts, skinny jeans and dresses if they are fitted!
I look back at the couple of dresses I had last time and I just look like a whale as they were loose.
Also cropped cardigans are my friend, ending at my 'waist' i use non maternity and just wear open. waterfall cardigans are no use either imo. I need more clothes myself, but thinking along the lines of capsule wardrobe, I have a lot of white tees as i can accessorise to put colour in an outfit. Dresses and skirts are also on my agenda as I will be huge over summer and I think I will roast!

Things I am eyeing up;
shorts

skirt

gap often do good discount codes so waiting a bit!

I quite like this dress as I have seen it with it tied at the back, also there is a blue floral.

also this skirt i think gap is more my colours.

All very stripy but will be nice with white tee, a cardi and smart!

Incredible am going to get a million of those t shirts. Love that mojo dress as well.

Can pregs people pull off shorts? I absolutely love those but worry I would look so waddly?

I haven't done shorts while pregnant before, my idea is that the length will cover the flab I get at the top of my thighs and keep me cool. I also have short legs so won't cut them in half (visually) or worse like cropped trousers do to me. I also really love the colour :)

When you are heavily pregnant you are waddly full stop ;)

I've just been on hols and panic bought shorts before I went. I loved a pair in H&M but they were too tight around the bottom for my fluid-filled fat thighs. I ended up with these - pricey but they fit well and are very comfortable.
