Trousers for DH

My DH is in a bit of a trouser rut. He wears either jeans or nice-ish trousers to work with a shirt and jumper. He has just declared himself bored by his current range of trousers which consists solely of Howies and Boden. Can anyone suggest brands he might like? He wants well made clothes which will last, and which are a fairly classic cut. He has a particular issue with back pockets wearing out because he shoves his keys in them and sits on them all day (and will not change this!). Also, he does not like to go to shops and buys all his clothes online. Any advice? What do your DH's wear to work on their bottom halves?

If he likes Howies, try Cahaart (sp?) and Patagonia.

Ooh he's impressed with the Carhatt stuff - thanks! He knows of Patagonia but says they're mainly synthetic. I should have put in my OP that he only likes 100% natural stuff.
Thanks again for the Carhatt tip; it's certainly in the lead at the mo.
