I spent forever clearing out my wardrobe over the weekend and I'm left with t-shirts and tops that I can't make work with cardigans and jackets so can you help me out a bit please?

  1. Blazer that gives a long V line - scoop or round necks work best - yes? Do V necks work? Looks odd to me.

  2. Round neck cardigans - work best with which t-shirt neck line? I'm a bit busty if that matters

  3. Mandarin collars - can't make these look right with a cardigan - is there a way to wear these?

TIA more idiot questions to follow no doubt!

Do you use Pinterest? I can share a pin with you which decode the neckline thing. I've started to go simple, and truly throw out pieces which I need to figure out too hard and combine with something else to make it work.

Oh, I found it here.

If you are a little bit busty, I would say go for a v neckline. But a high shallow V, not a plunging low deep V. (And yes, the V line does differ depending on the cut as I found out too.) I found out that I can only do a low shallow V, and the point has to be my breastbone, and that's it.

I don't think Mandarin collars are meant to go with anything to be honest. People that I have seen them normally has a very long body, and this kind of elongate their neck a little bit. I have tried a turtle neck black top, and this can work since I am short, and have a round face. But then I realised that it can only work if my bottom half is also a black top too. To stop my confusion I have thrown this out too. My only advice is, if a piece of clothing is annoying you and causing you think twice, or three times, then just remove it from your collection, cos you will be frustrated each time you come to wear it. As it makes you think too much. Too stressful.
