Skirts for summer

Where can I find nice skirts for the summer. I have a low budget but my biggest issue is length of skirts. They seem to be either very short or very long. I am size 10/12 5'8 so shorter skirts come up even shorter and long skirts look like I am wearing my little sisters clothes.

Any nice mid length cotton skirts?

I'm sick of cropped trousers.

Maxi dresses are not safe, daft extended house with steps in funny places.

At 5'3 I have the same problem. To far below the knee, I look like a granny, to high I look like I'm trying too hard.
Why is it so hard to get a skirt just above or knee length!

I am glad its not just me. But surely there must be someone somewhere who has seen this gap in the market

I wish, but Boden and White Stuff just do really twee embroidered monstrosities or insanely over priced basics.

I only wear a skirt a few days in summer. I can't justify £60
