Where are the best places to buy genuine louboutin shoes? Dh has said he will buy me a pair (I've had a rubbish couple of years) but sadly I am easily intimidated by 'posh shops' ( & snooty sales assistants)!

Net-A-Porter?

Whatever you do, do not go to the Motcombe St store. I'd go to Harrods.

I had really good service in Selfridges. I think you definitely need to try them on. The pair I liked actually didn't fit me so well (too much toe cleavage) so they helped me find a pair that suited me better.

They weren't intimidating at all and if all else fails in Louboutin you have Jimmy Choo, Chanel, YSL on hand as a back up.

What styles do you like??

Yes don't go to the Knightsbridge store. They are SOOO snooty. It was almost as if they didn't want my money.

My sister got some from her wedding anniversary and has regretted it daily. She is in agony as soon as she puts them on and have been referred to as 'hooker shoes' by some (delightful) fellow drinkers in a club. Wishes she had spent her money on other luxuries.

I have one pair bought via the outnet. God they are sooooo uncomfortable.

I'd got to one of the big dept stores and try them on but also Valentinos etc and see which are the most comfortable.

I agree that a department store like Selfridges or Harrods might be better than he store if you feel intimidated (like me!).

I have a beautiful pair and yes they are a bit uncomfortable bit they are sooooo high so I expect it. Mine do have quite a cushioned under foot bit (don't know what that's called) so I always think if mine were a bit lower they would be quite comfy.

I agree with everyone else,if you want a nice shopping experience, thenSelfridges is your best bet, ,lots of choice, from many good designers, better than louboutins, and actually the SA at selfridges are very helpful,

Selfridges. I went in wanting the peeptoes and they were uncomfortable far too high and didn't look right. I ended up with much lower ones and closed toe.

I have to say my miu miu ones are much nicer. I don't feel like I'm going to snap the heels off of them.
