Any Daniel Field Water Colour Users Around?

I'm looking for advice on DF Water colour shades - I understand they come up dark? I have dark brown hair with approx 25% grey, mostly concentrated at temples and over ears.

I've been using conventional dye for years, but have grown my hair longer, and ended up with horrible matt black build-up in patches. So I took the plunge at the weekend and used a product to take away the build-up. This worked fine, but this has revealed that using semis/perms for years has lightened my base colour slightly.

It needs evening out a bit and cooling down a bit. I want to whack a Daniel Field colour over the top but it needs to blend reasonably with natural re-growth. I'd be happy to end up with a slightly lighter brown an/or to have the grey bits come out a bit lighter. Am wondering about neutral lightest ash brown or even neutral dark ash blonde as they look dark on the colour chart. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can call them if you're not sure.

I have dark brown hair and use the shade Walnut. It's a nice neutral looking brown without being black. Even blends in my sparkly grey bits.

Think you won't be able to lighten the dark brown hair with these colours, so not sure if the ash blonde will work?

Sorry chocbic - I didn't explain very well. The colour stripper has left me a bit lighter than usual all over and a bit on the warm side. I want to put something on to cool it down. But I am happy to take the opportunity of being a bit lighter now to move to a less dark brown, but one that still needs to work Ok with darker regrowth.

So, if I am aiming for a cool mid brown, what should I go for?

Ring them. They are lovely on the phone

The neutral ash browns look good and should cool down the warmth.
