What makes havainas (sp?) any better than normal flip flops?

I know lots of people who buy them but they look identical to the flip flops I buy very summer for a tenner in Accessorise. What makes them different?

Gandys will be sold in accessorize from this summer. Coincidence no?!

I much prefer Ipanema

bishboschone · 08/04/2014 21:00

I've just googled ipanema .. They look like a copy of Havianas . Are they as thick?

annebullin · 08/04/2014 21:58

thanks for the tip blondie Smile

Don't get slippy when wet. Last for years.

annebullin · 08/04/2014 22:07

Mine don't tend to last more than a couple of years - the toe post breaks. I have always paid less than £20 though, so I don't know whether they have been seconds.

cerealqueen · 08/04/2014 23:27

I prefer Ipanemas too, Havaianas feel heavy! They are just as good quality and the soles are as thick. Comfy toe posts too.

jubbablub · 09/04/2014 11:00

I find the regular Havaianas rub and give me blisters. Can only wear the slim ones. Have a beautiful pair with a black sole and gold straps. Soooooo comfy!!!

Just looked at Gandys - just couldn't wear anything with such a horrible font on the most visible bit!Shock
