New foundation needed!

Help please wise S&B ladies! I currently use a Botanics BB cream and previously to that have used various fairly light foundations/tinted moisturisers including a lovely but eye-wateringly expensive Bobbi Brown one in a glass jar, a Liz Earle one and various random No7 type things. However, I think I am a bit of a 'face toucher' (in fact am sat here with my hand on my face) and by about lunchtime it looks as if I've not put anything on at all. I do quite a lot of priming with Pore Professional and Lemonaid and I use Touche Eclat under my eyes. Few people have mentioned MAC primer as being worth a go but do I need something more long lasting on top anyway? I have read good things about Bare Minerals but I have quite dry skin so tend to use more dewy/creamy products although this could be a misconception.

Any advice please?

It depends on what shade you want. I like the texture of Clinique Even Better but can't get a shade light enough.

What sort of coverage do you want?

I'm currently using Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation- it is really light and I need a couple of layers.

Not sure what advice you're after- are you saying your foundation disappears because you touch your face a lot?

I like benefits oxygen wow. I put on two coats for a night out and have been known to wake up the next morning with a full face of it left on (I know Iknow. Its terrible!) My only issue is its a fairly light coverage.

I think I'm going to try either double wear or MAC photo finish next.

I'm tempted to try a fixing spray for work as my make up never lasts past lunch no matter what I do. I'm also a face toucher

I'm getting tired of promoting mineral makeup Wink but I have dry skin and it has worked really well. The staying power is phenomenal - had it on for 24+ hours while travelling... I moisturize about 5 min before applying mineral foundation and fix it with a mist of Avene Thermal Water. I remove it with micellar water. It is love/hate (=not for everyone) but definitely worth a try!

Thanks Frugal. I might go see the ladies in JL for a sample and take it from there. I shall also have to Google micellar water! I use Liz Earle's hot cloth cleanser normally.

Jaffa, advice is for either a product/combo of products which makes my foundation stay on my face. Intrigued by Mike's idea of a fixing spray, shall look into that also.

Lanacane anti chaff gel as a primer, it's the best out there and same ingredients as smash box one. I love Revlon colour stay, it really stays put!

Oh and I've ditched years of hot cloth cleansing with Liz Earle stuff for Nivea micellar water, my skin is amazing, best in years.
