I have a boy and a girl, so need both.
Anywhere good (and reasonable) I should be looking?
I don't really love anything in Clarks, but I do like the fitting and support aspect… have seen Startrite website but there's nowhere near us that stock them.
Any other options?

I got the first pair at Clarkes, then bought the fitting device to use at home. I now buy online, knowing I have an accurate fit, so I get a choice of brands

An independent shoe shop offering proper fitting? We have a few around here - probably a little more ££ than Clarks, but good for something a bit different.

Or John Lewis?

John Lewis stocks Start Rite as does Jones. I find them much more hard wearing than Clarks. DS needs shoes every 6-8 months and walks 2-3 miles a day. They still have heaps of life left in them when he's grown out of them. They are excellent value.
