Non-Invasive or Invasive Face 'Work'?

I'm thinking about having some 'work' done on my face and neck next year, instead of going holiday. I will have up to £6000 to spend. I'm late 60s and over 10 years of poor health have taken their toll. Any advice or experiences fellow MNers can offer? I've nc'd just for this topic.

TBH you won't get much for £6K if you want surgery. An eye lift- upper and lower- is around £3K and a full facelift nearer £10K.

You need some advice from a plastic surgeon who won't give you a sales pitch- some improvement can be had with fillers but it all depends on what kind of state your face is in now!

I've just left a link to Dr Tracy Mountford on another thread here- she does fillers, dermaroller, and laser treatment. Have a browse of her website and compare yourself with the case studies and see if you think you would get an improvement by non-invasive.

Thank you, Fillingtime. I've checked out the link and signed up for the Clinic's newsletter. I'm pretty sure that surgery is not for me, but there are plenty of other procedures - Tracy Mountford's site is very helpful.

I would recommend TM 100%. I went along and asked what they would suggest- and instead of selling me everything they chose 1 treatment which was what I wanted. I did ask about having my turkey neck sorted and they explained that Dermaroller and Botox would give a 50% improvement, but at almost £1K for that- which might last 6-9 months, it was outside my budget, long term.

You can have a consultation for £90 and I'd recommend that if you want to try anything.

Not sure where you are but I can recommend Aurora . They offer a range of nonsurgical treatments. Everyone I had contact with there was amazing and the standard of care was extremely high. There is no hard sell at all. I had my tummy tuck there and had at least 3 consultations before I signed on the dotted line - no sales people, just the consultant and a nurse.

Oh and consultations were free.

I wonder if the consultations that are free are with the actual consultants? I'd be a bit sceptical of free consultations from consultants - mine is so busy( average waiting list is 4 weeks) she couldn't spend her day seeing would-be clients for free- and the 'free consultations' are probably covered in the overall cost of the treatment anyway.
