Girls swimwear

Am looking for some swimwear for my 9 year old dd - ideally I'd love a short sleeved rash vest with matching bikini bottoms and tankini style top thing but can't seem to find anything that isn't a fortune or isnt designed for littler ones. She spends hours in the pool and the sea in the summer and her shoulders can get really burnt if she doesn't cover up - does anyone have any recommendations?

Lands' End?

Next do a 3 piece set bottom top and rash top

It's worth keeping an eye on Lands End - they usually have much better stock than what's on the website today, so perhaps there is more still to come in.

You could try John Lewis especially the platypus lilac rash vest and board shorts combo.

Mini boden have some.

I was going to say Boden. It s not cheap but it does last for ages and withstands chlorine, sunlight and sea water very well. They do lovely combinations of rashies and bikinis.

Brilliant - looked at boden and John Lewis earlier and didn't spot anything so will have to go back and check. Lands end didn't have much that dd liked - she's suddenly decided pink is out and blue is in! Her whole wardrobe is now unsuitable!

H&M have bikinis but no rash guards...but they are cute and cheap

specialsubject · 02/04/2014 19:43

how about a small size adult rashie? Doesn't have to be skin tight. You can get long sleeved ones too.

if she swims that much (good for her!) she should also be wearing board shorts to protect at least some of her legs.

Was being very stupid and hadn't realised the rash tops they had on boden came in different patterns! Blush. Have ordered the blue stripey one that looks gorgeous so hope it fits when it comes. Have to wait 5 weeks though! Sad

But now I've seen the pumpkin patch stuff too and that looks lovely! Had seen the debenhams one and loved the fact that the set had everything I wanted but wasn't keen on the style of the bikini top. It's a shame they don't do more styles. Am really tempted to order some more now though in case the boden stuff doesn't fit when it arrives!
