Hi all! My first post as I just found out that I am pregnant- yahoo!! I have read that pregnant people shouldn't use shower gel, and am curious as to what others are using? Soap? If so what kinds are good and not too drying? Thanks! X

? I've never heard that! Afaik you're fine to use shower gel

ASmidgeofMidge · 30/03/2014 21:04

Where did you read it wasn't ok?

Wolfiefan · 30/03/2014 21:06

I thought certain products might contain essential oils (or other ingredients) you should avoid?
And congratulations!

Can't say I've ever heard this but why not try Halos and Horns, it's free from most nasties and smells lovely.

Thanks Wolfie! I am interested in natural products anyway, its my first time and I don't want to be doing something daft if I can help it.

they havent given any clear guidelines as to what to avoid so its a bit of nonsense. I never changed my habits with regards to shower gels, cosmetics, moisturisers, etc. I stopped drinking, never smoked and took folic acid and both children turned out fine. I even dyed my hair in pregnancy and that was fine too.

Thanks powerhoop, it does seem a bit bonkers really. I think I need to take the internet less seriously ;)
