Tend to think it's hard to look smart in…..if sitting down at table for interview the top will just look like a black t-shirt….

Depending on the formality if the interview, I'd go for a cropped jacket like this or this

It's skater style so I'm assuming you are young?

It's not a style I would go for at the early 40 end.
