Sprayed Aromatic Elixir on my wrist yesterday morning, initially hated it, but as the day went on scent developed into something very special, I couldn't stop smelling my wrist, ordered bottle of the stuff last night.Grin
On the shelf atm. Earl grey and cucumber cologne by Jo Malone for daywear and for the night Iris Nobile by Aqua di Parma.Smile both complimented very frequently.

JoStrom · 27/03/2014 22:17

It's a funny one Aromatics - the initial spray is nothing like it after it settles! I love it too

My all-time favourite was Manifesto by Isabella Rossellini, but you can't get it anymore.

I wear Clarins Eau Dynamisante day after day, have done for years and years now. In contrast, I usually have a favourite 'heavy' scent on the go too, I've been through Allure, Coco Mademoiselle ( stopped wearing that after Kiera knightly started advertising it as I can't bear her!), more recently, Miss Dior Cherie and currently a new one from Avon which I absolutely love and was only a tenner on offer!!!!

I should love no.5 as it has three of my fave essential oils in, but it smells like mix of old ladies, dishwater and cat pee on me unfortunately!!!!

Also, I sometimes wear jasmine oil by itself but it's an aphrodisiac so I have to be careful unless I want DH making a nuisance of himself!

Love perfume.....my first was a cheaply one called 'Babe' but I vividly remember my brother buying me LouLou when I was about 14 as it was all I wanted for my birthday!!!

Cuir de Russie by Chanel maybe a good substitute for No.5, I received a sample and I fell in love with it, serious fragrance, complex but very unusual and classic if that makes sense.

Old favourites which I recently repurchased and they came this week -
Carven Ma Griff, Prince Matchebelli's Cachet (very old fave from early work days!) and Eau de Courrages. All bring back fond memories.

ThatBloodyWoman · 28/03/2014 19:41

Chanel no 5.

But I haven't had bottle since the early 90's.

It's now beyond a joke price wise.

Vintagebeads · 28/03/2014 19:43

Alien Thiery Mulger

Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir when I have the funds

UncrushedParsley · 28/03/2014 19:46

Clarins Les jardine for day, sometimes Jo malone lime and basil, Coco channel for night.

MrsMaryCooper · 28/03/2014 20:02

Lovely - SJP I would never have expected I would like it.

RavenRose · 28/03/2014 20:02

Adore Cuir de Russie. Also love Guerlain especially Jicky and Nahema. Both have lots of memories attached. My mum wore Jicky.

Also Freak by Illamasqua

aylesburyduck · 28/03/2014 20:05

Aromatics Elixir. I've worn it for 22 years.

The only other perfume I have repeat purchased is an Avon one (Shock ? me too!) - Herve Leger Femme but I will most definitely be buying more of their new perfume "Premier Luxe" it's absolutely gorgeous. I bought it to wear to work but I really like it.

Judybluey · 28/03/2014 20:07
