Well mrscumberbatch, I'd like to say a huge thank you! Your advice really helped me to narrow down what I was looking for and I had a fantastic time going into the all of the jewelers that you recommended.
After much deliberation, and much looking in many lovely antique shops, I have a ring! In the end we went for a new ring, but based on some Art Deco styles I'd seen in the shops you recommended. It was made just for me and to my very fussy taste. It's perfect. And I'm afraid the picture doesn't quite do it justice.
