Lotta From Stockholm - any experiences?

I rather like these but have never worn clogs before and am not sure how comfortable I'd find them. Has anyone else any experiences of them, good or bad?

Thanks in advance!

That's weird, because I too had a clog moment last week and considered posting on here for advice. In the end I got some sent to me from Bjorn Clogs in Scarborough - cheaper, custom made and a slightly different shape leather than the ones on their website - and they are great. Haven't ventured out in them yet but they've been great around the house.

I bought those Lotta clogs in steel last year and love, love, love them - they took a few wears with strategically placed plasters before they softened up but were then very comfy, and got loads of positive comments from others! Also great service from Lotta - there was a slight flaw in the sole of one, emailed them a pic and was sold them at seconds price. Now just trying to decide whether I can justify another pair this year - the steel ones are still great, I would just like more to choose from!

ThiefofTime · 26/03/2014 17:01

I have those exact sandals and love them. I too needed a plaster for the first couple of wears but they are great now. Much admired by others too.

Ujjayi · 26/03/2014 17:01

I have the Swedish Hasbeens version of those. Obviously cannot comment on specific make but with regards to wearing clogs - they are comfy but take some getting used to due to the solidity of the sole. I wore mine around house and garden before venturing out. I don't think I have driven in them though.

I didn't experience any rubbing or blistering. IMO they are tres chic in an Ali McGraw kinda way.

Ilovewaleswhenitrains · 26/03/2014 19:29

I bought those clogs last year in blue. After a few wears they were so comfy. I'm going to buy another colour this year - I love them.

UterusUterusGhali · 26/03/2014 19:40

I have some similar from Ugg. They're a bit higher though. I find them really comfy, and I can't wear heels.

Wore them all day at a wedding and they were perfect.

lurkingaround · 26/03/2014 19:56

What's the steel like lebasi? It looks like a grey-blue on the site.
OP I have them in navy. I find them quite clumpy to look at but I get plenty of compliments so they must be ok! Comfy, and I had no plaster needs.

Fishandjam · 26/03/2014 20:39

Thanks all. I did wonder a bit about initial chafing and getting used to a non-flexible sole. For the former, I guessI can wear them around the house a bit with a pair of socks Grin

ujjayi, I liked the look of some yellow Swedish Hasbeens last year but never bought them, and this year I'm not blown away by their colour range.

don't try to walk on cobbles in them!

Fishandjam · 26/03/2014 20:45

Why Olivia? Do you skitter about and look a wally?

I have clogs from lotta - not the sandals but the ones deemed good for work. They're exceptionally comfortable and I'll probably buy some sandals too. (Even though my dsis took one look at my feet, pissed herself laughing and asked what the hell I was wearing. She's an irregular choice dolly at all times Grin).

autumnsmum · 27/03/2014 08:24

Waves at fish and jam I've got some lotta clogs and there lovely great customer service too

Fishandjam · 28/03/2014 11:48

Hiya autumns!

Woah - hold on - this article from the Grauniad says that clogs are well fashionable, innit. Don't tell me that I, the very exemplar (by S&B standards anyway) of the mumsy look, have suddenly hit on something trendsome? I may have to have a lie down...

Mimi irregular choice look fantastic but no way could I wear them

mimiasovitch · 28/03/2014 19:15

I have 2 pairs - in boxes! Clogs are definitely more comfy.

Fishandjam · 28/03/2014 21:02

I ended up going for the closed toe ones in aubergine (high heel). If I like them loads I might stump up for the green open toe ones Grin

Those Irregular Choice are bonkers! Lovely but definitely not me.

I cannot wear heels apart from wedges. I would like a pair of these clogs with the same heels but a tbar style. Are they easy to walk in? Could I run for a bus in them like you can in wedges? They don't look that high. Also, will they dent delicate wood floors?

autumnsmum · 29/03/2014 11:57

Got my lotta sandals on today

autumnsmum · 29/03/2014 12:48

Just ran for a bus ! Lottas clogs pass the test

Fishandjam · 01/04/2014 22:50

My clogs arrived today! They are splendid - but fractionally too small! However, I can still get a feel for how great they'll be half a size up. Will definitely have to save up for the green ones as well.

I had a pair of natural colored sandals from lotte a few years ago. Loved them to bits and wore them everywhere but the insides went very dark where my feet had contact with the wood. It made them look really dirty and in the end I chucked them...

Fishandjam · 01/04/2014 23:13

I was wondering whether any marks and scuffs on the sole could just be Black & Deckered off? Grin

Yes I have a pair - the neutral ones. Super comfy and the company is easy to deal with - they have a place in London and you can contact them via their FB page. I put several coats of Olive oil on the leather to 'age' and protect it and I use soft sandpaper to clean the wood. Can't recommend enough - and so cheap compared to Hasbeens.

Fishandjam · 09/05/2014 10:55

I am now wearing my (correctly sized) clogs. I love them to bits, and not just because they make me two inches taller! No chafing at all, and I have learned how to walk so that I don't make a loud clattering noise Grin
