Help!
Where can I find nice clothes for size 4-6?
I'm really struggling to find anything that fits me.

La Redoute, next do a 6 but I think they come up big.

enormouse · 24/03/2014 18:41

I think asos go down to a 2 in the regular and petite ranges.

I'm in my mid 40s so not so keen on the young look!
And yes, I need to look professional but don't need to wear suits etc - think smart casual.
Next are wayyyy to big.

Gap do a 4 and a 6.

ilovemountains · 24/03/2014 18:55

H&M used to be good for size six, although the clothes don't last long. I just used to buy two of things I fitted (as normally really cheap), then when they fell apart could wear the other.

ilovemountains · 24/03/2014 18:56

And I agree, Next sizing is massive!

OneLittleLady · 24/03/2014 19:01

I think new look go down to a six. they definitely do in some of the jeans styles, I've seen them in store

Saurus72 · 24/03/2014 19:47

Whistles has some styles in sizes 4 and 6, they often just have these sizes left in the sale section on their website.

FiloPasty · 24/03/2014 19:49

I think XS at Zara is a 4-6 I am a size 10 and wear M

MsAspreyDiamonds · 25/03/2014 02:02

Massimo Dutti

Damnautocorrect · 25/03/2014 04:14

I've bought suits and had them taken in at the dry cleaners, wasn't expensive and worked well.

mycatlikestwiglets · 25/03/2014 09:05

Most designers, US ones in particular, do size 4/6 (0-2 in US sizing). Check out the Outnet for designer clothes at more sensible prices - if you've been looking in Reiss and LKBennett their full prices are comparable to some Outnet prices. I really like Milly and Theory for workwear and both do at least a US2 if not smaller. Michael Michael Kors does some good stuff too, as does DVF. Only thing about the Outnet is that you need to check regularly as their stock is updated three times a week and some items sell out quickly but I have some beautiful suits and LOTS of gorgeous dresses from there (I have a bit of a work dress fetish!).

Brillenbar · 25/03/2014 09:08

Banana Republic (good for work) goes down to a US 0 - which should be a UK 4

mycatlikestwiglets · 25/03/2014 09:16

I'd forgotten about Banana Republic, good call Brillenbar. JCrew too (but their UK prices are ridiculous).

w1968 · 25/03/2014 10:04

Thank you for Banana Republic suggestion - I've never looked at them before.

Outnet is my favourite - am always looking for good discounts! I've had some lovely things from there, but I do like to try clothes on!

Fat Face usually do a 6.

angeltulips · 25/03/2014 11:37

Banana republic sizing is huge too, I'm a 6-8 and often their 0 is too big for me, so you'll be swimming if you're a 4-6

Surprised you didn't find anything in reiss, I often see small sizes there

In general designer sizes will be smaller than high st. I've only really ever found topshop to be small sized there.

Uniqlo are tiny sizing, a medium fits a uk 10/12.
Also, Lands end do a petite range, maybe worth a look.

thecherryontop · 25/03/2014 12:20

French Connection -I'm not a 6 but used to work there and people who struggled to find smaller clothes always came in for the size 6
